The headline: from 1 square to 167

We measure your Maps visibility on a grid of 169 points spread across Feilding and the surrounding area, checking where you rank from each one. It's the honest way to see local visibility, because your ranking changes depending on where the searcher is standing.

When we started on 3 September 2025, you were in the top 3 for "plumber Feilding" from 1 of those 169 points. On the 1 September 2026 scan, you were top 3 from 167 of 169, and you hit a perfect 169 out of 169 in August.

Every number traces to your monthly Maps tracking reports (geo-grid scans on a fixed 3 September 2025 baseline, plus the lifetime daily metrics series running 2 September 2025 to 25 August 2026) and to the monthly reports we sent you. Google Business Profile under-reports interactions, so treat every count as a floor rather than a ceiling.

The two that didn't move are worth saying out loud. Drainlayer and bathroom renovations have never ranked, and the reason is structural: your site has one Services page, so there's nothing for Google to attach those two services to. That's a fixable gap and it's top of the list for what comes next.

Term two's totals still have six days of August missing, so the real gap is a little wider than the table shows. And the shape of the year matters: calls dipped to 7 a month over December, February and March (we called it seasonal at the time), then climbed steadily: 14 in April, 14 in May, 19 in June, 17 in July, 22 in the first 25 days of August. The engine took time to build, then kept building.

The engagement ended on its best month. The final reporting period (25 July to 25 August) was the strongest of the entire twelve months: 813 search views, up 68%, 28 calls, up 47%, and 57 website clicks, up 84% on the month before. That's the momentum sitting there right now.

The reviews engine, and the race you're in

Your review count went from 48 in mid-October 2025 to 131 on 1 September 2026, every single one at 5 stars, with each review replied to. That's roughly 83 new reviews in under a year, and it's a big part of why the map rankings hold.

Worth knowing: Uneeda Plumber has gone from 94 reviews to 133 over the same period (rated 4.9). They're matching the pace. Reviews are the clearest signal Google uses for the map pack in your category, so this is a race worth staying in rather than one to declare won.

Where this goes next

Feilding is largely done. The map is green, the calls are climbing, and the review engine runs. The growth from here sits in four places:

OpportunityWhy it matters
The wider ManawatūYour dominance is a Feilding story. Palmerston North and the surrounding centres hold most of the region's monthly plumbing, gas and drainage searches and are barely touched. This is the growth lever that ties to your goal of keeping the team busy and building toward the next hire.
The two services that don't rankDrainlayer and bathroom renovations need their own pages on your site before Google will rank them anywhere. Caleb scoped this back in March and it never got concluded.
The rest of the grid on the big termsGeneric "plumber" sits at 27% coverage and emergency plumber at 52%. Pushing those toward Feilding-level dominance is straightforward continuation work.
AI assistantsHere's the whitespace. On the latest scan, ChatGPT doesn't recommend you at all, Gemini has you at 19 for "plumber Feilding", and only Meta AI ranks you well (number 3). People are starting to ask AI assistants for a plumber the way they used to ask Google. Nobody in Feilding owns this yet.
A note on our end. Our own reporting went quiet at points this year, and the final report, covering the best month of the engagement, hadn't reached you before this page. We've rebuilt how reporting runs (this live page is the new home, updated monthly) so that doesn't repeat.
